Palm Jumeirah - Palm Jebel Ali - Palm Deira

The Palm Islands

Back in 2001 Dubai developer Nakheel made the announcement that it was to start construction on a man made island set out in the Arabian Gulf. This island was to be built so as to resemble a palm tree from the air. If its sounds crazy still today, then you can only imagine the reaction back then! The project was to be known as the Palm Jumeirah, and was the biggest land reclamation project to have been attempted in such a manner. Well fast forward to today and even Nakheel must have been surprised as to the success of their initial palm project! I mean just look at the premiums that the villas now sell at above their original asking price! Since 2001, the Palm Jumeirah has become a huge success, gaining world wide acclaim, and perhaps more importantly for those interesting in such property, it has generated another two Palm projects. These are The Palm Jebel Ali and The Palm Deira.

The Palm Jumeirah

The Palm Jumeriah paved the way for its siblings, with its wide choice of apartments and villas, with shoreline and Golden Mile apartments and Garden homes, along with numerous planned hotels, resorts and other entertainment options. The option to purchase such a piece of freehold real estate in such a desirable location attracted buyers from all around the world, included a few well publicized celebrities. However despite the increasing interest in the development and soaring prices, the project suffered a number of delays and even some redesigns. After all it's hard to schedule a project which is the first of its type to be attempted. All seems well today, but the knowledge gained building the Palm Jumeirah will only benefit the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira.

The Palm Jebel Ali

The Palm Jebel Ali is of particular interest. The Palm Jumeirah's most popular property has unquestionably been the Signature Villas. These villas, all uniquely designed and featuring private gardens and pools will also feature on the Palm Jebel Ali, which is certainly a good thing, as demand for them is huge! But the Palm Jebel Ali will also have Water Homes, with their own private boat mooring, and unsurpassed sea views! Sound good? Well the Palm Jebel Ali will also feature more entertainment facilities than the other Palms, making it one great place to invest! And with construction not looking to be complete for another few years yet, and the Palm Deira a while after this, prices on the Palm Jumeirah have been unaffected. The Palm Trilogy looks set to remain some of the hottest property on the Dubai freehold property market for a long while to come.
